J Poceta, MD

J. Steven Poceta, MD, has specialized in sleep medicine since 1987 and has also practiced neurology for over 20 years. His career interests have been neurologic sleep disorders such as restless leg syndrome, sleep walking and narcolepsy. He also diagnoses and treats general sleep disorders such as sleep apnea and insomnia.

Dr. Poceta has published over 40 papers on sleep disorders. He is the head of the Restless Legs Center of Excellence within the Sleep Center, awarded by the RLS Foundation.

Dr. Poceta believes that his training and extensive experience allow him to objectively assess a patient’s problem and communicate a solution that is direct, open and honest.
